This easy to make greek salad is a delicious appetizer in the traditional Greek cuisine but it is also a great companion to any grilled meat or it can be served with bread as a side dish.

Ingredients

  • tomatoes

  • cucumber

  • red onion

  • green bell pepper

  • feta cheese

  • black olives

  • olive oil

  • oregano

  • salt

  • pepper

Directions

  • Wash the vegetables: remove the stalks from the tomatoes and cut them into quarters or halfs if you use cherry tomatos.
  • Peel the cucumber, cut it in half lengthwise and crosswise into 1/4 inch thick slices, dice the green bell pepper, cut the onion into rings and drain the olives.
  • Cut the feta in cubes. Then mix tomatoes, cucumber, peppers, onion and olives in a bowl, dress with olive oil and season with salt and pepper
  • Garnish with the feta cubes and season with oregano.
